This summer we had been there to enjoy at highest mountain in Germany. Awesome beauty! We had lunch at Taj Mahal (GAP). I was totally enjoying the atmosphere with a chilled Mango Lassi. In fact, we ended ordering another glass of it though we had stomach full. It was damn good! The food was also good and the people in the restaurant were friendly and made us feel at home. I still miss this taste of the Lassi in other restaurants I've been to.
Munich - Garam Masala:
Just before Euro 2008, we visited Munich. It was really nice feeling (as if I watched the football match live ;)) when I was in the Arena. I could see how crazy people were about the goals and wanting Germany to bring the cup home (Ballack & team reached the finals though). Now adding spice to food - Garam Masala, it was one of the decent Indian Food available in Munich (atleast that's how the Indians of the city referred to us). It was not so extremely good or bad, it was ok.
Erlangen - Sur Mandir:
Last weekend, we hit this restaurant for dinner unplanned. It has a branch at Nuremberg too. It was good food and worth for the cost. Infact it was reasonable, right quantity and didn't waste anything. We enjoyed it thoroughly.

Hi Ramya,
in 1997, we ate dinner on New Year's Eve in Bad Toelz at an Indian restaurant. They really set it up well and tried their best to get all the customers into the spirit of the holiday.
Of course, we left the resto early to go stand on the bridge over the Isar and watch the fireworks (shame on us).
I wonder if the place is still around. The motivation of the staff was really fun and the food was, well, as OK as you could expect in the middle of Bayern in the winter. I haven't forgotten that place. Especially since Bad Toelz is where I grew up as a kid and let me tell you, in the 1960s, there wasn't any such thing as a foreign food restaurant there!
