Thenga Chutney

Ingredients:

Grated coconut - 1 cup

Pottukadalai - 1/2 cup

Green chilli - 2

Salt - to taste

Oil - 1 tsp

Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp

Urad dal -1/4 tsp

Curry leaves - few



Method:

1. Grind coconut, pottukadalai and green chili with salt and little water.

2. Heat oil in a small pan and splutter mustard seeds, dry red chili, urad dal and curry leaves.

3. Add it to the ground chutney and serve.



PS:

1. Can add red chillies instead of green chillies.

2. Can add very little garlic, ginger and tamarind to yield another version of Thenga chutney.
